In the third quarter of 2025, the top tools apps on the Android platform in Australia exhibited varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user statistics, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Google Authenticator maintained a consistent download pattern with peaks in the weeks of June 30 and September 22, reaching approximately 18.7K downloads. The app also saw a stable active user base, fluctuating slightly around the 560K mark throughout the quarter.

Photo Recover-File Recovery experienced a notable peak in downloads during late August, hitting roughly 22.2K. Its active users mirrored this trend, increasing steadily to about 45.4K by the end of September.

The QR & Barcode Scanner showed a decrease in downloads early in the quarter but rebounded in mid-September to approximately 10.8K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decline followed by a recovery to around 538K by quarter's end.
